The 1920 census lists Bertha Berchler a 12 year old Foster Child in the home of Thomas W. and Margaret Dillingham
The 1930 census lists Bertha Dillingham 24 years old daughter who teaches public school

Bertha’s Social Security Applications lists her birth parents Conrad Birchler and Dora Huff

These siblings had contact with each other as adults. Minnie House and Walter Hartman’s obituaries list Bertha Whitehead of Sarasota, Florida as a survivor.

The record states when the Birchler children came to the Orphans Home they were “Perry County children, sent by Board of County Commissioners”.

I have found no obituaries online for either Bertha or Harry Whitehead.
