Before vital statistics began to be recorded in cities, towns, counties and states the family Bible was the place to record births, deaths and marriages.
This collection of Tri-State Family Bibles is a work in progress. It is our hope you will consider sending Tri-State Genealogical Society copies of your family Bible for placement on our site. You do not have to be a member of our society to share your family Bible.
If you would like to have your family Bible placed on our site please contact Virginia L. Aldridge, one of the Board members of our society at the email address provided below. She will send you information on how to submit your Bible. This is an easy process. If you have any questions please ask.
Often old Bibles are in tatters and sometimes only the births, deaths and marriages pages have survived. If that is the condition of your old Bible it is important to preserve the records it contains. Please consider sharing it on our site.
