Hello Fellow Family Researchers,<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ONE\u2026\u2026MORE\u2026\u2026DAY\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Tri-State Genealogical Society will begin our 49th<\/sup>\u00a0year!!\u00a0\u00a0For the first 43 years, the society did their quarterly publication called \u201cThe Packet\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0All 43 years of The Packet are fully digitized on this website in Members Only.\u00a0\u00a0If you are a member, you can search all 43 years!\u00a0\u00a0If you are not a member, you are missing out and we would love for you to join us.\u00a0\u00a0At our last meeting on June 9, it was amazing when we looked at the \u201cRelatives Around Me\u201d on the Family Search App.\u00a0\u00a0I was related to about half of the people in the room!\u00a0\u00a0The app also shows you HOW you are related.\u00a0<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We discovered that three of the people on our board are cousins.\u00a0\u00a0It is so interesting to compare your tree with the cousin match and see how they start with a common ancestor, and where those lines split and go different directions.\u00a0\u00a0Sometimes we think of Evansville as a big town, but it really is not.\u00a0\u00a0Join us at our next meeting on\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0September 8, 2026 to meet some of your cousins.\u00a0\u00a0Our speaker will be Tom Lonnberg (Evansville Museum).\u00a0\u00a0We will be meeting on the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0floor of Willard Library (for that week only).\u00a0\u00a0Tom will talk about \u201cEvansville World War II Shipyards\u201d.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
