It was submitted by Don Counts.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With the assistance of Postmaster Curtis Butler, who made a trip to Princeton with a <em>Journal<\/em> representative, the following list of names of young men who receive their mail at Oakland City postoffice, and their number in the great conscription lottery, was compiled. Preserve the list and as the drawing proceeds you will be able to tell those of your neighborhood who will be required to enter the service of their country. The number opposite each name is the number on file in Washington, D.C. and the one which will be used in the drawing.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>(Note:<\/strong> The list of names was originally in order of the numbers drawn, which appear next to the names. I re-sorted the names in alphabetical order for an easier search.\u2014Peggy K.
