Newspaper Research

Newspapers offer invaluable aid to genealogy research and are more available to researchers as more digitized newspapers come online. In Evansville, Indiana, Willard Library has all of the available Evansville newspapers on microfilm, in addition to some of the Princeton (Indiana) and Boonville (Indiana) newspapers. Those with library cards to the Evansville Vanderburgh County Public Library may log in at the EVCPL website and search the Evansville newspapers that have been digitized so far. Subscribers to newspapers.com and Genealogy Bank also have access to online Evansville newspapers in addition to newspapers across the country. There are, additionally, websites that offer free access to view and, sometimes, clip or download pages and articles. The links below can take you to the websites mentioned.
